The Blossom Project
GARDENING 101
Better Together.
We're cultivating love in our neighborhood, and the best way to get it done is together. Our organization is dedicated to making a difference throughout Jacksonville and inspiring others to do the same nationally. With our gardening programs and local volunteer work, we're able to push past boundaries in environmental and community well-being.
The Blossom Project is the name of an alliance here to protect our community and the children who thrive in it. According to Feeding America, in 2022, there were 51,250 Duval County children experiencing food insecurity, and by 2023, more than 1,500 students became victims of hunger. We've just reached the two-year mark, and it's likely our young ones are still grappling with this challenge. These children receive food at school and during summer camp, but may be at risk for hunger over the weekend.

Access to a well-maintained vegetable garden and/or greenhouse all year round would change the physical & financial health of many families in our neighborhoods. Now that you know the facts, how will you help us end the existence of child hunger? Whether you can donate your time or contribute to a community garden fundraiser; all your support empowers Duval County.
